Duties and Responsibilities
The AP specialist’s main responsibility will be to perform daily entry of invoices into Canopy. Additional duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Accounts Payable Essential Functions Include:
- Monitor accounts payable mailbox and process invoices received
- Post invoices to accounts payable subledger
- Prepare accounts payable batches to post to general ledger
- Ensure purchase orders have been marked as received prior to recording invoices
- Balance vendor statements
- Follow up on past due accounts and returned checks
- Other duties may be assigned. Overtime may be required subject to changes of business necessity.
What You Bring to the Role
- Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Self-starter to work independently and with a team
- High School Diploma/GED required
- 3-5 years of AP experience
Other Physical Requirements
- Must possess full hand and finger grasping for keyboard data entry and calculator with both hands together and apart
- Vision Near or corrected

Work conducted primarily in an office environment but may be required to access the production environment.
Must be able to tolerate the varying heat, wet, and chill of the plant. Hearing and eye-protective equipment required in the production area. Required to wear hair and beard nets in the production area.
