How this Role Will Be Impactful
The IT Administrator will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of all IT equipment, including scales, production terminals, printers, scan guns, access points, computers and switches. This position will work closely with production to ensure that all equipment is operational in support of daily operations and work closely with maintenance whenever new equipment is being installed to support production.
Work is based in our corporate offices to allow for meetings, team cohesion and collaboration. This role can be hybrid for the right person with a preference for candidates within a one-hour drivable distance from Harrisonburg, VA.
The position may require frequent access the production environment. Must be able to tolerate the varying heat, wet, and chill of the plant. Hearing and eye-protective equipment required in the production area. Required to wear hair and beard nets in the production area. Must be able to traverse a two-story staircase multiple times per day.

The IT Administrator will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of all IT equipment, including scales, production terminals, printers, scan guns, access points, computers and switches. - Interact with the production and maintenance departments to ensure that all IT equipment is running properly to support daily operations
- Participate in all projects that include the implementation of new IT hardware to make sure the IT team understands what is needed and any equipment and/or services required to support the project are obtained.
- Maintain user access on the corporate network and in key software applications - including the creation of new user accounts and roles and the termination of employees when notified by HR.
- Manage all of the IT equipment in conference rooms and train users on how to effectively use the equipment.
- Setup new computers and work with new employees on their first day so that they can access their computers and all applications
- Manage the procurement, installation and training of the corporate phone service
- Assist with the maintenance and configuration of all SVO networks.
- Monitor new IT requests and address requests in a timely manner.
- Diagnose and repair (or work with vendor to repair) and IT equipment that fails to operate properly.
- Perform training to the different users/groups when new equipment is deployed
- Responsible for following, supporting, and enforcing all internal control processes and procedures.
- 15 years of experience working with IT equipment and ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Installation and repair of IT Equipment, Active Directory, Office 365, Access Point Management
- IT equipment setup, repair and replacement, IT ticketing systems, vendor management (for purchases & repairs)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline
