How this Role Will Be Impactful
- Develop and update the Daily truck schedule
- Manage and track all outbound shipments via the carrier
- Manage and communicate with suppliers, brokers, carriers, etc. to field any issues in day-to-day trucking schedules.
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive reports for upper management.
- Assist shipping in coordination of inventory rotation and management where applicable with outgoing loads.
- Create and maintain logs, documents, spreadsheets and SOP to streamline workload and improve efficiency.
- Develop the analytical aspects of the job by identifying internal and external tools to achieve the goal.
- Collaborate with the Transportation Manager for any ad hoc responsibilities.
- Confirm all delivery appointments are made, make appointments as needed.
- Maintain carrier scorecard by tracking on time deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with shipping regarding truck schedules.
- Communicate effectively with customer service regarding appointments and on time deliveries.
- All other related duties as assigned.
- Respond timely to after-hours and weekend requests.
- Some after-hours and weekend coverage required.
