Concrete Finisher / Form Setter
Capital Paving & Construction (CPC) – Rocky Mountain Region is a heavy highway and civil construction company in Colorado. We are seeking multiple skilled Concrete Finisher and Form Setter combinations, to join the Capital Team. Candidates should have a strong background in related construction skills, be willing to travel and open to performing multiple construction tasks on any given project. This role involves working with various materials, equipment and tools to construct concrete structures, flatwork, gabion/temporary basket wall shoring and culvert extensions. The Concrete Finisher/Form Setter will collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure high-quality results that meet project specifications.

JOB DUTIES:
- Ability to read construction plans, understand specifications, operate equipment and/or perform as a leadman on specific tasks is a plus.
- Must be proficient in concrete finishing and form setting techniques and practices. Experience with precast box culvert or con-span construction is a plus.
- Good communication skills are required and an ability to focus on tasks at hand, be a self-motivator, and works well with others.
- Perform general labor duties when necessary and work with labor crew when not finishing or operating equipment.
- Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
- Work with powered and non-powered hand tools (i.e., rakes, shovels, etc.).
Work in a variety of positions throughout the day including standing, stooping, bending at the waist, at waist level, shoulder height and above the head
Requirements
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel, current openings in San Luis Valley. 5-6 days a week with paid Per Diem.
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions including hot and cold temperatures and humidity.
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used on construction projects.
- Ability to properly follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA requirements for safe working procedures and environments.
- Willingness to undergo a background check, physical, drug, and alcohol testing.
