Description
The FAB/Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the operation and management of multi-shift crews to ensure fleet maintenance operations are performing at optimal levels and quality standards are being met. This position will oversee mechanics and fabrication crews who perform the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems. This position will be based in Pocahontas but will cover both the Pocahontas Quarry and the Jonesboro Quarry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees the daily workflow, scheduling, and assignments of the equipment.
- Provide oversight and direction of inventory management and vendor relations.
- Inspects and performs maintenance on assigned equipment and facilities.
- Maintains files of warranties, records, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts for various pieces of equipment.
- Maintains the inventory, storage, and distribution of equipment.
- Provides recommendations for purchases of new equipment.
- Collaborates with the Operations Manager to prepare and implement a budget.
- Manage shop maintenance operations to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensure completion and accuracy of work performed.
- Develop, train, and mentor mechanics and fabrication crew.
- Communicate performance expectations and company initiatives to employees on a regular basis.
- Assist in the development and delivery of performance reviews.
- Provide ongoing feedback to improve employee performance and morale.
- Ensure all safety policies and programs are being followed.
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years of experience with quarry operations and knowledge of crushing systems and components
- 5 years of supervisor/management experience
- Fleet maintenance and mechanical knowledge.
- Proficient with diagnostic tools is a plus (Davie, TEXA)
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair engine, transmission, and electrical issues
- Must be able to work flexible hours/some weekends
- Obtain a valid driver’s license with CDL A or B endorsement
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screen
