Description
- Operate heavy-duty trucks (end dump, belly dump, or similar) to haul sand, rock, and other construction materials.
- Load and unload materials in a safe and efficient manner, following site-specific procedures.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and hours of service.
- Comply with DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
- Navigate to job sites using GPS and/or route instructions provided by dispatch.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, site personnel, and supervisors regarding delivery schedules and changes.
- Keep truck clean and in good working condition.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Class A or B, depending on vehicle used).
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Experience hauling sand, gravel, or rock a strong plus.
- Clean MVR and current DOT medical card.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and truck safety.
- Ability to operate manual transmission (if applicable).
- Ability to sit, drive, and operate a truck for extended periods.
- Capable of climbing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working outdoors in varying weather.
- Must be able to perform minor vehicle checks and maintenance tasks (e.g., checking fluid levels, tire pressure).
