Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Truss Delivery and Crane Operator to join our team in Grants Pass, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering trusses to job sites, operating a truck-mounted crane to safely position trusses, and providing outstanding customer service. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role is essential to ensuring the success of our operations and the satisfaction of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport trusses to job sites and ensure timely, accurate deliveries.
• Operate a truck-mounted crane to lift and set trusses, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Securely load and fasten trusses to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Maintain clear communication with the Plant Manager, job site supervisors, and team members.
• Complete delivery tickets, inspection reports, and logbooks accurately and on time.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the truck and crane as needed.
• Assist with loading trucks, counting loads, and supporting yard operations during downtime.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through professional interactions and prompt problem-solving.

Qualifications:

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and a clean driving record.
• Experience operating truck-mounted cranes, with knowledge of load limits and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and best practices for commercial vehicle operation.
• Ability to read and follow delivery instructions and job site plans.
• Physical stamina to perform lifting and positioning tasks and work in varying conditions.
• Experience operating a truck-mounted crane to lift and set trusses in place at job sites a plus – we will train the right person.

Job Type – FT Non-exempt

Compensation: $26 - $30/hr. DOE
