What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant pastry position at Farmer's Table?
Farmer's Table -
Farmers Table is looking to hire an experienced pastry assistant to assist in all aspects of the daily restaurant production.
We are a scratch bakery using organic ingredients. All dessert products are made in house.
Responsibilities to include :
- Create and prepare all pastry items needed for service, including cakes, fillings, scones, sauces, ice creams and banquet production
- Plating of desserts
- Carefully follows exact recipes
- Responsible for weekly bakery inventory and rotating food supplies on hand
- Maintains clean and sanitary bakery
- Covers all plating shifts as needed for call outs and vacations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years in pastry kitchen
- Culinary degree in Pastry
- Knowledge of high volume or banquet service
Requirements
- Be able to work 10 hour shifts
- Able to lift 50LB
- Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
- Punctual and disciplined to maintain optimal work enviroment
- Able to follow instructions and recipes accurately
- Confident in pastry techniques and skills
