Description/Job Summary
The BSA Assistant assists and supports the Bank's BSA Officer and Assistant BSA Officer with BSA/AML-compliance related functions and responsibilities.
Responsibilities/Duties
1. Assist with review of large cash transactions, all general ledger transactions involving cash, as well as the monetary instrument log. This duty is performed as needed.
2. Assist with review and reconciliation of CTR information. This duty is performed as needed.
3. Assist with BSA/AML monitoring systems and/or reports to detect and monitor suspicious activity. This duty is performed as needed.
4. Assist with investigations into BSA cases submitted by other bank personnel. This duty is performed as needed.
5. Answer internal BSA-related calls or emails. This duty is performed daily.
6. Assist with maintaining BSA-related spreadsheets and document tracking systems which includes entering new customers/accounts and reviewing documents and core system fields for accuracy. This duty is performed daily
3. Assist with BSA/AML monitoring systems and/or reports to detect and monitor suspicious activity. This duty is performed as needed.

5. Answer internal BSA-related calls or emails. This duty is performed daily.
6. Assist with maintaining BSA-related spreadsheets and document tracking systems which includes entering new customers/accounts and reviewing documents and core system fields for accuracy. This duty is performed daily
7. Assist with maintaining document records by scanning, importing, and indexing documents into the document imaging system. Indexing documents includes the review of documents for accuracy and send coaching notification(s) to front line personnel of any document related issues. This duty is performed daily
8. Initiate inquires of bank personnel regarding BSA-related matters. This duty is performed daily.
9. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have excellent customer service skills consistent with Farmers Advantage Customer Service. Must have strong organization skills, as well as the ability to pay close attention to detail. Must be able to multitask and prioritize. Must maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information at all times. Will have the opportunity to represent the bank at community events and in civic organizations. Must ensure compliance with all internal controls, established bank policies and procedures, and U.S. laws and regulations.
