GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the cannabis banking program, including sales, onboarding, due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and relationship management. This position will also monitor competitors ½ pricing and product offerings and suggest strategic movement as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Seek out new business customers for the cannabis banking program. Assist customers and potential new customers with compiling appropriate due diligence documentation to facilitate onboarding, including but not limited to Customer Risk Assessments, state licensing information, beneficial ownership information, entities and owners' financial information, standard operating procedures, etc. Work closely with the BSA Officer to ensure all necessary information is acquired. Onboard new cannabis business customers, including obtaining all necessary signatures, printing and providing debit cards, and all other necessary banking materials. Monitor competitor offerings and make strategic business direction recommendations. Perform ongoing site visits to facilitate monitoring of cannabis business customers to ensure they are meeting all relationship and regulatory requirements. Make presentations to Executive Management and/or the Board of Directors as necessary regarding the financial and regulatory status of the cannabis program. 75% travel is the estimated expectation for this position. Most of this will be daytime trips with only occasional overnights.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college.
EXPERIENCE GENERAL
5 years related experience and/or training.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must have extensive experience in banking, with a minimum of 8 years. Must have at least 2 years of management, which preferably includes direct Retail site management. Must be detail oriented and show initiative in ensuring that all tasks and any ongoing or adhoc project requirements are completed relative to an established schedule. Must have excellent communication skills. Should have reasonable core system query skills and advanced spreadsheet skills in order to manipulate and interpret data. Should have analytical skills to be able to act upon data interpretation. Must demonstrate Farmers Advantage Customer Service to internal and external customers.
