Overall Job Function:
The Appliance and Outdoor Living Sales Specialist is responsible for maintaining guest service, generating appliance sales, generating outdoor living sales, merchandising, store cleanliness, signage, and pricing; as well as assisting with the delivery and installation of appliances, grills, smokers, lawn mowers, and patio furniture when necessary.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, greeting and acknowledging every customer.
- Maintaining solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service.
- Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and current promotional advertisements.
- Assist in seasonal transitions, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping.
- Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and practices, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention.
- Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at point-of-sale registers.
- Communicate customer requests to management or directs guest to sales specialist.
- Assist with the delivery and installation of Appliances, grills, smokers, lawn mowers, and patio furniture if necessary.

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Prefer 1 or more years of sales or customer service experience.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a fast-paced office setting. Equipment utilized will be a computer, phone, fax, copy machine and other standard office equipment. Hours will vary with the demands of the retail environment, including evening, weekend, and holiday rotations. Position will occasionally work outside; exposed to elements, loud noise, and varying weather conditions.
Physical Demands:
While performing job functions the employee will be required to talk and hear most of the time. The employee will spend frequent intervals moving and sitting, while also needing to reach, bend, twist, crawl, crouch, stoop or kneel. The employee will need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 15 pounds frequently and maneuver on and off step equipment. The physicality of this job is low.
