Our Agent in Training Program (aka Protg Program) gives prospective agents a unique entry point, giving you the most freedom, while rewarding your drive and success. The Farmers Insurance Protg Program is designed to give aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to grow their sales and management skills, while experiencing the day-to-day process of running an insurance agency, all under the guidance of a Farmers Insurance Mentor Agent. With the training of your Mentor Agent, the nationally recognized University of Farmers training program, and assistance from your local District Office, you will be exposed to the many facets involved in building and operating a successful Farmers Insurance Agency.
As a future Farmers Insurance Agency Manager, you will have the opportunity to earn a base salary PLUS uncapped new business commissions, while being able to learn the insurance business from the inside out. You get to EARN, while you LEARN!
Upon successful completion of the Protg program, and transition into the Agency Manager role, you'll enjoy the benefits of being an agency manager, while being exclusively contracted with a nationally recognized brand and Fortune 500 company. Responsibilities
- Obtain Property & Casualty, AND Life & Health licenses PRIOR to program start
- Spend 4 months in the Protg Agent role (time-based upon the individual)
- Program has set sales and growth goals to keep you on track
- Work closely with the Agency Manager to gain an understanding of the Agent Manger role.
- Generate New Business sales via a multitude of lead sources
- Immersed into the Farmers culture and the insurance industry
- Collaborate with the Mentor Agent and the District Office to learn how to build, and scale, a successful agency
Requirements
- Be comfortable with a sales-related career based on commission and obtaining sales-related goals
- Must have, or obtain, General Lines Property & Casualty, and Life & Health licenses from the State of Arizona (within 30 days)
- Self-confidence, perseverance, and the ability to remain positive and maintain progress towards goals in spite of obstacles and adversity
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong listening skills and ability to anticipate and overcome objections
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and act effectively with minimal direction at times
- Experience with Microsoft Products
- Experience developing and following a prospecting plan
- A track record of exceeding sales goals
Salary : $40,000 - $80,000
