This Farmers Insurance program is designed to give prospective agency managers the opportunity to grow their sales and management skills, while experiencing the day-to-day process of running an insurance agency, all under the guidance of a Farmers Insurance Mentor Agent. With the training of your Mentor Agent, the nationally recognized University of Farmers training program, and assistance from your local District Office, you will be exposed to the many facets involved in operating a successful Farmers Insurance Agency.
As a future Farmers Insurance Agency Manager, you will have the opportunity to earn a base salary, commissions and bonuses, while learning the insurance business from the inside out.

Responsibilities
- Obtain Property & Casualty, AND Life & Health licenses
- Spend 8-12 months in the Protégé role (time-based upon the individual)
- Program has set sales and growth targets to keep you on track
- Work closely with the Agency Manager to gain an understanding of the role.
- Generate New Business sales via a multitude of lead sources
Requirements
- Be comfortable with a sales-related career based on commission and obtaining sales-related goals
- Must have, or obtain, General Lines Property & Casualty, and Life & Health licenses
- Self-confidence, perseverance, and the ability to remain positive and maintain progress towards goals.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong listening skills and ability to anticipate and overcome objections
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and act effectively with minimal direction at times
- Experience with Microsoft Products
- Experience developing and following a prospecting plan
