The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the Deli Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring food quality, and maintaining a welcoming environment for our customers.

Duties

• Supervise and manage deli staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
• Conduct interviews and hire new team members as needed, fostering a positive work culture.
• Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock while adhering to budget constraints.
• Train staff in food handling techniques, customer service skills, and hospitality management practices.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales within the deli department.
• Monitor daily operations to ensure quality standards are met in food presentation and service.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to deli products or services.

Requirements

• Proven experience in team management within a food service or hospitality environment.
• Strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Familiarity with budgeting practices related to inventory management and cost control.
• Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
• Knowledge of health regulations and best practices in food safety.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
• Previous experience in hospitality management is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 45 per week
