Job Summary
The Information Security Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the Information Security Officer in managing the Bank’s Information Security Program and ensuring the security and integrity of banking operations. The Information Security Analyst will be critical to safeguarding sensitive financial information, detecting and responding to security incidents, and implementing proactive measures to mitigate cyber threats. The analyst will be responsible for ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and industry standards while assisting with risk assessments and providing input for policy development. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is essential to maintain the Bank’s robust and secure information security posture.
Key Responsibilities
· Utilize advanced security tools and technologies to monitor and analyze network traffic, system logs, and other security-related data.
· Conduct real-time analysis of security alerts generated by various sources and respond promptly to potential incidents.
· Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential weaknesses in the organization’s systems and networks. Collaborate with the IT team to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
· Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards applicable to the banking industry and in accordance with the Bank’s Disaster Recovery Manual/Business Continuity Plan.
· Participate in the design and implementation of new security solutions. Review and recommend enhancements to existing security infrastructure.
· Work with third-party vendors who may provide SOC services, managed detection and response services, vulnerability management, and SIEM solutions.
· Perform assigned tasks in executing projects specific to the area of responsibility.
· Other responsibilities as assigned by the Information Security Officer.
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Information Security preferred.
· Proven experience in a cybersecurity or information security role at a financial institution preferred.
· 1 - 2 years’ work experience administering and securing a complex computing environment, including Microsoft environments and open systems as well as a virtual computing environment.
· 1 - 2 years’ work experience administering and securing complex network environments including next-generation firewalls.
· Possess an understanding of banking systems, protocols, security frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
· Proficient in using various security tools, SIEM solutions, and incident response frameworks.
· Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, SANS, or GIAC.
· Familiarity with systems administration automation tools and methods preferred.
