The Loan Support Specialist provides administrative and operational support to the loan department, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of loan processing, servicing, and compliance. This role involves working closely with loan staff, title companies, insurance providers, and other financial professionals to manage documentation and facilitate the loan lifecycle from application to closing.
The position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Mortgage & Commercial Escrow Analysis.
- Monitor and process payments for escrowed insurance and taxes.
- Loan Document Filing.
- Maintain various spreadsheets and follow up with Loan Officers, Title Companies, and Insurance Companies.
- Order Appraisals, Title Work, etc., for loans in process.
- Review incoming appraisals.
- Filing and maintaining UCCs.
- Receive and sort incoming Loan Department mail.
- Mail daily loan statements.
- Process paid loans and update records.
- Scan documents to the Image System.
- Maintain and update loan records in the bank’s system, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Process loan payments, advances, and payoffs.
- Verify and organize loan documentation, including credit reports, income statements, and collateral records.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and compliance reviews.
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth loan operations.
- Follow up with customers regarding missing or incomplete documents.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for management and regulatory agencies.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience in banking, loan processing, or a similar support role preferred.
- Strong PC and data entry skills.
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Certificates and Licenses:
- No certifications required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands:

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, ect.

- The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- Moves boxes weighing up to 25 pounds across office for various needs.
