Under the direct supervision of the AVP of Field Claims for the Great Lakes Region, the Field Claims Supervisor will manage and supervise crop adjusters and their claims activity to enable America’s farmers to clothe, feed, and fuel the world. Due to the required travel, the potential candidate will need to be located in Central Iowa.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 or more years of crop insurance adjusting, claims, and an agriculture background is preferred.
- Education: High school diploma required; Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree in business or an ag-related field preferred.
- Skills: Some supervisory experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Successful completion of NCIS training required. Maintain CAPP and PFTS Tier 1 Certifications. Ability to deliver presentations to small and large groups. Ability to calculate amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Additional Requirements: Must be available to attend all Company-mandated training events and conferences and be able to travel for work-related reasons for periods of time exceeding twenty-four (24) hours. Must be able to physically climb heights in excess or ten (10) feet, walk distances over ¼ mile over uneven terrain, and stand without rest for periods of time greater than one hour. Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean MVR, and own a vehicle. Must be able to handle a heavy workload and work long hours during claims season. Extensive travel is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Along with supervisor, manages claims, audit losses, and monitors adjuster workforce and claims processing within assigned territory.
- Manages compliance audits and Quality Control reviews as assigned by the Claims department.
- Performs field reviews for Crop Hail claims that exceed $60,000 indemnity.
- Attends yearly Career Fair(s) to search for interested prospects for adjuster roles, while promoting the company and its great work culture.
- Works claims for Crop Hail and Multi-Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI).
- Performs proficiency evaluations for Crop Hail and MPCI adjusters under the supervision of their Regional Claims Manager.
