HR SPECIALIST/ADMIN ASSISTANT (HYBRID)

FMH is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join the HR team! The HR Specialist will support the Human Resources department with a wide variety of tasks including department communications, onboarding, employee status changes, company programs, professional development and more.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience: At least one to three years of related administrative support.
- Education: High School diploma required. (Associate’s degree preferred.)
- Skills: Excellent organizational, administrative, and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with DocuSign would be a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides exceptional customer service to our employees, especially regarding questions related to HR programs, systems, and policies.
- Works with HR staff to handle all departmental communications including employee announcements, HR emails, intranet (Insider) articles, HR communications calendar, birthday emails, etc. Uses the HR communications calendar as monthly guide to keep on track of important company-wide announcements and reminders.
- Manages employee onboarding process including routing new hire paperwork, creating onboarding agendas, and scheduling new hire meetings.
- Submits service tickets for all employee status changes including new hires, terminations, transfers, and other updates. Works with administrative staff to help gather information for tickets as needed.
- Creates and updates the monthly HR Department team meeting agendas.
- Processes matching gift and education assistance requests.
- Assists with coordinating social, fundraising, and training events including researching venues, booking meeting spaces, purchasing tickets, ordering food, etc.
- Assists both the VP of Talent Management and Development and VP of Compensation and Benefits with various administrative tasks.
