As an experienced Oracle Database Administrator at FMH, you will manage the database infrastructure, supervising the modification of any existing database software, and is responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of company databases and guaranteeing that data is stored securely and optimally.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience: At least 1-5 or more years of database infrastructure and security experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field.
• Skills: Experience with Oracle and Linux BASH Scripting plus general program and system design concepts, and client server computer operations necessary. Familiarity with Toad and OEM. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assists with designing databases or reviews description of changes to database design to understand how changes to be made affect the database (how data is stored in terms of physical characteristics such as location, amount of space, and access method). This ensures that DBA work is consistent with corporate guidelines.
• Calculates optimum values for database parameters such as amount of computer memory to be used by database.
• Specifies user access level for each segment of one or more data items such as insert, replace, retrieve, or delete data and specifies which users can access databases and what data can be accessed by user.
• Assists with tests and corrects errors; and refines changes to the database.
• Helps with creating and modifying production and development databases.
• Helps monitor performance and assists with directing programmers and analysts to make changes to database queries.
• Supports application developers. Answers questions regarding data and database operations.
• Recommends and implements changes to increase processing performance (or performance tuning).
• Assists with establishing and implementing enterprise database backup strategy. Responsible for database recoveries, including the timely testing of recoveries.
