Precision Technology Field Supervisor

As a Precision Technology Field Specialist for FMH, you will maximize precision technology usage for crop insurance by promoting software, process, and technology solutions to drive agency and farmer performance and adoption. This position works closely with Precision Leadership in territory development. The Precision Tech Field Supervisor is responsible for leading the adoption and execution of precision technology in crop insurance operations. Due to the required travel (80% of job), the potential candidate will need to be located in Wisconsin (near La Crosse), potentially traveling to surrounding states, to be successful in this role.

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: 8-10 or more years of related crop insurance experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Excellent technical experience with Precision Technology systems is required. A strong knowledge of crop insurance is expected. Some supervisory or indirect leadership experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Ag Systems Technology Management, GIS, Natural Resources, or Agronomy preferred (Associates degree required).
Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point. Must have access to a computer with Internet connection.
Additional Requirements: Must attend all Company-mandated training events and conferences and be able to travel for work-related reasons for periods of time exceeding twenty-four (24) hours. Must be able to physically climb heights in excess or ten (10) feet, walk distances over ¼ mile over uneven terrain, and stand without rest for periods of time greater than one hour. Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean MVR, and own a vehicle. Travel is required for this position and consists of 80% of the job.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as the primary point of contact for the agency force, farmers, and insureds regarding precision-related technology questions for assigned accounts. Leads effectively across the team to provide support to all precision agents.
- Manages assigned territory and supports Precision Tech Specialists in maintaining compliance with RMA regulations.
- Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) and the voice of the customer for defining and delivering precision solutions, including systems, processes, and on-farm support.
- Promotes FMH software and technical solutions through in-person and online engagements to enhance precision solutions' market presence.
- Coaches and mentors the PTS team to develop world-class precision experts. Leads the team through change, ensuring adherence to precision strategies and best practices, and to ensure quality customer service.
- Oversees the success of the Agency Precision Technology Policy business.
- Represents precision solutions priorities in cross-department system and process changes. Guides the team in understanding system change impacts across territories and throughout the crop insurance lifecycle. Contributes to system performance testing and execution.
- Ensures alignment with marketing needs by collaborating with FMH Marketing to develop precision solutions materials, review content, and provide testimonial leads.
- Works with FMH Sales, Claims, and Underwriting teams to drive precision solutions competency goals by providing strategic territory plans, supporting precision claims data needs, and fostering strong cross-team communication.
