As an experienced QA Test Analyst on the GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Team at FMH, you will evaluate and test software programs to verify that the technology and system functions according to the specifications, including identifying any discrepancies.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience: At least 3-5 or more years software testing (manual and some automated) or user acceptance testing. Experience with Agile software development methodology is preferred. Experience in both front and back-end testing using SQL database tools (such as Oracle) is recommended. Exposure to automation and the ability to execute using automated tools is preferred. Experience with Geospatial platforms is highly desirable.
- Education: Associates degree in Information Systems or Computer Science required (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Skills: Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC). Business and system domain knowledge preferred. Knowledge of testing process and methodologies necessary. Understanding and/or experience with JavaScript is helpful. Experience with ESRI or other GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software or GIS experience is highly desired. Exposure to data warehouse (big data) and data validation tools are important. Good communication on a technical and business level; analytical thinking and great attention to detail needed; proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with Development Team to understand the requirements, scope, and objectives for any new or modified functionality within the system.
- Develops, executes, and coordinates both Integration and System Test Plans, including manual testing and automated testing where applicable.
- Creates new or modifies existing test scripts, manual or automated, based upon the business requirements and technical specifications.
- Executes test scripts to ensure compliance with business requirements, functional requirements, and specified quality characteristics and documents results by recording the issue in the bug-tracking system.
- Debugs and re-tests all components of the system or system enhancement, reporting and documenting all outcomes and test conditions.
- Facilitates and conducts the test plan/test case review with the business and development team.
