TREASURY SPECIALIST

As a Treasury Specialist at FMH, you will be responsible for providing frontline support for our agents, insureds, and internal business units regarding a range of treasury-related items such as reconciling daily cash and cash reports, commissions, billing, and premium collections supporting our mission to enable America’s farmers to clothe, feed, and fuel the world.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience: One to five years of accounting/finance-related experience preferred.
- Education: Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel. Experience with accounting software systems is a plus. Understanding of basic accounting and treasury management functions (debits, credits, premiums receivable, property and casualty insurance, reconciliations, commissions, and bank functions) is highly desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides excellent customer service to our agency force and insured’s by answering questions and concerns related to commissions, insured billing information, premiums posted, and 1099 information.
- Generates and processes refunds on a weekly basis, ensuring positive pay files, stop payment and voids, and ACH files are sent in a timely manner.
- Reconciles and reports discrepancies found in records.
- Prepares and processes bank deposits, verifying and balancing receipts. Sends cash, checks, and other forms of payment to the bank.
- Processes all incoming cash from bank files.
- Reconciles outstanding checks and unclaimed property.
- Responsible for crop insurance monthly billing process.
