What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consumer Loan Processor position at Farmers National Bank?
SUMMARY: Prepare consumer loan packages according to bank and regulatory guidelines by gathering and reviewing the necessary documentation and information within designated time frames. Monitor the loan processing methods established for adherence to the company’s policies and procedures and documentation requirements. Ensure accuracy in processing closing documents efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete closing documents for consumer loans in a thorough, accurate and timely manner (car loans, unsecured, home equities, etc.)
- Review opening documents and underwriting of consumer loans for accuracy
- Verify automobile titles and insurance information for accuracy prior to preparing documents
- Prepare various spreadsheets (monthly exception report, production report)
- Review loans done by co-workers before being sent to loan officers
- Assist in ordering appraisals, floods, title work for the underwriter when necessary
- Be familiar with various Regulations (RESPA, REG B, REG Z, etc.)
- Communicate with title companies and appraisers when issues arise
- Post review documents for accuracy before set-up – build file
- Review equity documents prior to being sent to lenders
- Notify lenders when mortgages are recorded
- Keep updated policy & procedures manuals
- Schedule and track loan closings
- Keep a log of completed consumer loans
- Verify invoices from title companies and send to General Ledger
- Process applications for instalines
- Serve as a back-up for indirect loan funding as needed by reviewing and funding all indirect loans using established bank guidelines
- Complete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti-Money Laundering procedures. Maintain compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations
- Regular, predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position
- Assist with credit card processing, including file maintenance review, balancing daily reports, process payments, opening new cards, and completing balance transfers
- Complete all other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or General Education degree (GED)
- Minimum of three (3) years consumer loan experience and/or loan related background
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet navigation/research, and Outlook is expected
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of Mark IV and/or Laser Pro software a plus
