SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for developing new and strengthening existing relationships between Farmers National Banc Corp. and auto dealerships. In addition, this position must be knowledgeable in all company products and services to ensure accurate information is provided to potential business members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contact and visit prospective member/dealers to present information on available indirect lending services
  • Act as a liaison between the auto dealers and Farmers National Banc Corp.
  • Maintain existing dealer relationships for our indirect lending program
  • Increase the number of participating dealers as well as increase the number of loans received from participating dealers monthly
  • Conduct presentations to auto dealers to develop new business
  • Attend various meetings within the community or trade associations to gain new auto business prospects
  • Maintain an up-to-date contact tracking tool
  • Track dealer trends concerning loan applications compared to closed indirect loans
  • Maintain an awareness of all laws and regulations plus developments or trends in the banking industry as well as Indirect Lending
  • Meet or exceed targeted indirect loan goals
  • Adhere to bank and indirect loan department procedures
  • Must be available to travel between Youngstown, Canton and Akron
  • Assist branch staff with loan policies and procedures
  • Participate in special assignments and projects as requested by management
  • Complete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti-Money Laundering procedures. Maintain compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations
  • Regular, predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position
  • Complete all other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates degree in Business or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful sales experience in the financial services industry. Auto dealer experience preferred
  • Prior experience with automated underwriting systems (TCI preferred)
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet navigation/research is expected
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
