Teller Duties Summary
This role involves performing teller duties both routine and complex with accuracy and professionalism. The successful candidate will assist customers with inquiries, provide solutions, and willingly rotate between locations as needed.
Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Transaction Processing: Receive and process Teller transactions accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to Bank procedures.
- Cross-Selling and Referrals: Cross-sell and/or refer Bank products and services to customers, interact with them to identify their needs, and work with the appropriate areas of the Bank to refer customers.
- Cash Drawer Management: Verify and balance assigned cash drawer, assist in reconciling errors or discrepancies for self and other tellers, and maintain adequate cash drawer limits as required by Bank policy.
- Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service for all types of customer inquiries and transactions, ensuring accurate, professional, and efficient service.
- Night Deposit and ATM Services: Open night deposit vault, ensure contents are processed using dual control at all times, service ATM, and process ATM deposits.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
- Safe Deposit Box Access: Rent or grant access to safe deposit boxes.
- Compliance: Adhere to bank policies and procedures, as well as federal and state laws and regulations.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma Required
- Experience: 2-3 years of related cash handling experience and/or training
- Skills: Thorough product knowledge, ability to operate personal computer and various software packages, good communication skills (verbal and written), sales skills, understanding of regulatory compliance, flexibility, and ability to maintain confidentiality
