What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Administrator position at Farmers State Bank?
Primarily responsible for providing technical guidance and support to the bank's network and end users under the direction of IT leadership.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively involved in administering FSB's networking environment, including maintenance and upgrades to network components and peripherals.
- Assembles, configures, installs, and troubleshoots computer hardware and software, including physical and virtual servers and directory services, establishing and testing of contingency plans and data backup procedures. Applies patches and upgrades on a regular basis.
- Recommends software and hardware enhancements. Assists with or plans installations of new hardware and software products and upgrades to existing products and infrastructure.
- Provides timely and professional in-depth software/hardware assistance to network users based upon pre-established priority guidelines, including logging and completing help tickets.
- Configures, supports, and maintains phone system.
- Assists in establishing, maintaining and completing IT Department procedures accurately and timely.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides training, support and guidance to the department and other bank employees.
- Assists managers/supervisors with information gathering as requested.
- Contributes to high-performing motivated workgroup by applying interpersonal and communication skills.
- Provides courteous and knowledgeable support to FSB electronic banking customers for escalated issues.
- Assists with projects and performs other tasks, as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Two year technical degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- CompTIA A certified technician preferred
- Banking experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge use Veeam Backup and Replication. Proficient in restoring servers and individual files.
- Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft office 365 and other database training
- Demonstrated ability to perform job duties with limited direction
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
