Key Responsibilities:
- Serve customers at the teller window, processing various transactions using your judgment within established guidelines.
- Meet with customers to counsel them on bank products and services, highlighting benefits and features.
- Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements, security changes, and physical security protocols to protect yourself and the branch.
- Prepare forms for opening and closing accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, and savings bonds, and verify new customers' identification.
- Participate in FSB's Customer Acquisition and Growth program and perform duties aligned with the program.
- Handle telephone inquiries from customers and other bank personnel, providing product information and referrals to other departments.
- Sell money orders, cashier's checks, and cash advances.
- Process transactions from the night drop or mail and send receipts to customers.
- Order funds for businesses, coin, and bills, as well as foreign currency.
- Balance the cash drawer, ATM machine, and vault cash.
- Maintain ledger accounts daily or as needed.
- Recognize customer needs and refer them to the appropriate department.
Requirements:
- High School Education or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills, both phone and face-to-face.
- Ability to work within defined parameters and make decisions using provided guidelines.
- Knowledge of bank products and services, as well as regulatory requirements related to cashing checks and other deposit/loan payment transactions.
