Install, inspect, repair, and replace electrical equipment and components
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work safely following all company safety policies, practices, procedures, and improvement initiatives
Comply with all regulatory compliance requirements regarding environmental, and food/feed safety
Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, low/hire voltage, and lighting systems
Read and understand technical diagrams and blueprints
Perform general and preventative electrical maintenance
Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components
Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures
Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations
Perform corrective maintenance on circuit breakers
Understand basic HVAC, Freon and CO2 systems and well as various testing equipment
Communicate any accidents, threats, downtime, or cost-saving measures to Complex Manager
Assist other maintenance or production personnel as needed or requested
Situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description. Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal workload.
Qualifications
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Electrician degree or completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program
5 years’ experience working as an electrician or technician; manufacturing experience, a plus
Advanced understanding of electrical systems, control wiring, safety systems, blueprints, and maintenance and repairs
Experience with Studio 5000, SCADA or PLC Programming, a plus
Ability to problem solve independently or use various resources as needed
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds
Ability to stand and/or move on feet for up to 12 hours per day, longer if required due to projects or breakdowns
Constant bending, lifting, turning and/or twisting
