We’re a small but mighty e-commerce flower company moving our headquarters to a farm in Gig Harbor, WA, and we’re looking for a positive, hard-working, and dedicated Groundskeeper to join our team. If you love working outdoors, maintaining beautiful and functional landscapes, and getting your hands dirty to help create a thriving farm and headquarters, we’d love to hear from you!

Who You Are:

You’re hands-on, hardworking, and take pride in keeping outdoor spaces looking beautiful. You enjoy working outside in all weather conditions (this is Washington, after all!), have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and aren’t afraid to tackle everything from lawn care to minor repairs. You’re detail-oriented, reliable, and excited to be part of a growing company with big plans.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain and care for flower beds, farm plots, and green spaces through weeding, mulching, pruning, fertilizing, and general upkeep.

• Install and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper watering schedules and troubleshooting any issues.

• Mow, edge, and trim lawns and pathways to keep the farm safe and beautiful.

• Assist with planting, including soil preparation (tilling, weeding, amending soil, and moving dirt as necessary), planting, pruning, and winterizing plants.

• Clear debris and maintain cleanliness in work areas and public spaces.

• Monitor plant health and address issues such as pests, diseases, or soil deficiencies.

• Operate and maintain farm tools and equipment, including mowers, tractors, side-by-sides, augers, trimmers, power tools, and irrigation systems.

• Perform routine maintenance on groundskeeping equipment and tools, making minor repairs as needed.

• Assist with minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical repairs related to the farm’s outdoor areas.

• Support seasonal farm tasks such as planting, harvesting, and composting as needed.

• Apply insecticides, fertilizers, and mulches as needed to optimize plant health.

• Maintain the safety of outdoor walkways and entryways, particularly during inclement weather, by applying ice melt and clearing pathways.

• Help to Install and maintain landscape lighting, fencing, gates, and other outdoor structures.

• Perform minor maintenance work as needed, which may require the use of power tools.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least one year of experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance, including planting, pruning, mowing, weeding, irrigation, and applying herbicides/pesticides.

• Basic knowledge of plants, soil health, irrigation systems, fertilizers, and chemicals.

• Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely, including small hand and power tools.

• Comfortable with physical labor, including bending, lifting, and working outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Must have a valid Washington State Driver’s License and a clean driving record and be able to drive farm equipment and vehicles as needed.

• Ability to identify and manage plant diseases or insect infestations is preferred.

• Experience in minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs is a plus.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., with flexibility based on seasonality and business needs.

• Pay: $30/hour, based on experience, plus overtime as needed.
