Our mission is to support the farmers, ranchers, and makers of our local food system and to bring the highest quality of food to Texans.
The Marketing Intern will support Farmhouse Delivery's marketing team on a part-time basis (10-15 hours per week). This position is ideal for students currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field who are looking to gain hands-on experience while balancing academic responsibilities. This is a hybrid role that allows for some remote work while requiring a regular on-site presence at our Austin office for content creation and team collaboration. The intern will assist with various marketing functions, including social media, content creation, and basic data collection, while learning about the local food industry. This role requires someone local to the Austin area who can capture authentic content both in our office and occasionally in the field.
Social Media Support: Assist in managing Farmhouse Delivery's Instagram and Facebook accounts by creating content, scheduling posts, and engaging with followers under the guidance of the Marketing Coordinator.
Content Creation: Help develop engaging content for social media, newsletters, and website that highlights our products, vendors, and company values. This includes capturing photos and videos at our Austin office and occasionally at partner locations such as local farms, bakeries, and farmers' markets.
Marketing Campaign Assistance: Support the execution of marketing campaigns by helping with research, content planning, and basic performance tracking.
Vendor Partnership Support: Assist with vendor intake forms and help coordinate basic co-marketing efforts with our local food partners.
Data Collection: Help gather and organize marketing data from various sources to support the team's reporting and analysis efforts.
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance to the marketing team as needed, including organizing digital assets and maintaining content calendars.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field or recent graduate
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Interest in local food systems, sustainability, or related areas
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Experience with social media content creation
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (Canva, etc.)
- Photography skills
- Interest in food, cooking, nutrition, or agriculture
- Hybrid position - combination of remote work and on-site at our Austin office
- Must be local to the Austin area and able to commute to the office regularly
- Regular in-office days required for content creation and team collaboration
- 10-15 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate class schedules
- Primarily weekday hours, with occasional weekend opportunities if desired
- Occasional visits to local farms, bakeries, and farmers' markets for content creation
