Long Island’s leading butcher shop, Farmingdale Meat Market, is looking for a part-time Cashier to join our team. Family-owned and operated for three generations, our company is continuously growing—join us in providing the finest meats since 1946!
The hours for this position are generally 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer support in person and over the phone in relation to product inquiries, complaints, and general information
- Enter wholesale orders into Food Connex invoicing system
- Process customer payments accurately and efficiently on the register and credit card machine

Qualifications
- Some High School
- Valid working papers if aged 14-17
- One year of related experience
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
- Computer-savvy
Skills
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Basic math, including calculating totals and discounts
- The ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Bilingual a plus
