The Dental Hygiene Department at Farmingdale State College seeks to fill a professional staff position as Manager of Clinical Operations.
Duties Include
- Supervision of students.
- Scheduling patients, maintain recall system.
- Collection of clinic and radiology fees and daily reconciliation of accounts receivables.
- Purchasing of clinical supplies/manages clinical supply inventory.
- Manages central sterilization.
- Nitrous Oxide equipment maintenance.
- Troubleshooting ADEC equipment, Patterson Eaglesoft and Dexis Digital Imaging Systems.
- Supervision of instructional support staff.
- Oversee budget administration of external grant funding.
This position requires the availability to work nights as needed to meet operational requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current New York State Dental Hygiene license.
- Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene or related field.
- Minimum of five years' experience as a dental hygienist with practice management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of standard infection control protocols and knowledge of standards in disinfection and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment.
- Experience in the use of electronic health records, and strong computer skills.
- Ability to work with diverse populations including, students, faculty and the general public.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Experience with resin sealants, glass ionomer sealants, intraoral cameras, CariVu , air polisher and Hu-Friedy air flow.
This is a full-time UUP position.
- For the first 10 working days, beginning Wednesday, April 9, 2025, and ending Tuesday, April 22, 2025, applications will be limited to UUP Farmingdale.
- CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS: Open Until Filled
- SALARY: $65,000 $3,400 in downstate location pay = $68,400 Total Compensation. Salary may increase commensurate with experience.
