Job Title: Assistant Beverage Manager
Department: Food and Beverage
Reports To: Beverage Manager
Supervises: Bartenders, Servers, Hosts, Runners
Job Summary: Farmington Country Club is seeking an Assistant Beverage Manager who will assist in overseeing all aspects of beverage operations across Farmington Country Club. The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years of professional beverage experience, strong attention to detail and organization- while having a passion for the hospitality and enhancing the beverage experience for our members and their guests.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the hiring, training, and supervision of bartenders and bar backs
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of beverage storage spaces
- Assist with pre-shift trainings to keep staff current with industry standards
- Anticipate members’ and guests’ needs and take appropriate action to deliver consistently high-quality customer service
- Assist with wine selection, promotion and presentation.
- Ensure the proper completion of shift and cleaning checklists
- Maintain a presence in the dining room and event floor during peak service times
- Participate and assist with Pre-Shift training and meetings
- Assist with monthly inventory
- Assist outlet managers with bar scheduling to ensure proper staffing between the Grill Blue Ridge Room, Events, and seasonal outlets

- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of professional beverage experience in an upscale hospitality establishment.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook; working knowledge of point-of-sale software preferred
- Working knowledge of beverage and wine service
- Ability to interact with members and attendees to make them feel welcome
- Teamwork: Ability to work well with staff, listen to concerns, and take appropriate action
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Beverage certifications preferred (CS, CSW, WSET, etc.
