Farmington Country Club presents an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join our high-volume and fast-paced Food and Beverage Operations team as a Banquet & Event Server! Our servers consistently deliver high-quality service to our members and their guests in a friendly, professional manner. The ideal candidate has a background in food & beverage service and is looking to give members and their guests fantastic service. An ideal Banquet & Event Server candidate is available weekends & evenings, looking to work 1-3 shifts a week, and is comfortable working both inside and outside events throughout our variety of event spaces across the club. The Banquet & Event department is one that is fast-paced and sees many different styles of events throughout the week. Our team is responsible for the set-up, service, and breakdown of all events that take place at the club; most importantly, we are responsible for creating a personable and exceptional experience for our members and their guests. Over the course of the year, we execute a variety of events, including golf and tennis tournaments, rehearsal dinners, weddings, conferences, wine dinners, kid’s birthday parties and more! Working in the Banquet & Event department is a great opportunity to see a lot of the club, be hands-on with day-to-day operations, and gain experience working on event execution. Being a part of this active and engaging team is a great way to experience employment in private country clubs.
Job Summary
Banquet & Event Servers uphold and execute one of the most critical components in Farmington Country Club’s mission statement – that is, to professionally engage with our members and guests, and to provide them with the highest quality of service. The Banquet Server position is one that is fast paced and involves constant customer interaction. The basic duties will be to set up, serve and breakdown banquet events, but the most important responsibility is to satisfy our members’ needs and wants and to exceed the members’ expectations.
Schedule And Pay
The schedule for Banquet & Event Servers changes depending on events booked for the week. Typically, there are a variety of morning shifts, midday shifts, or evening shifts available per week depending on business levels. Banquet & Event Servers are paid $18/hour.

Job Responsibilities
- Execute different event service styles including synchronized hand service, buffet service, passed hors d’oeuvres, passed beverages, etc.
- Prepare and organize event service items (e.g., polishing glasses, folding napkins, setting up tables) to ensure a smooth event setup
- Set up buffet tables, dining areas, and equipment according to the specifications in the Banquet Event Orders (BEO), diagrams, and to-do lists from Event Managers
- Ensure that all items are in place and properly set before the event begins
- Greet members by name and provide a personalized service experience
- Maintain a continuous presence on the floor during events, ensuring all guests are attended to
- Serve food and beverages accurately to designated tables and individuals, ensuring the highest level of service and careful attention to specific dietary needs
- Maintain the cleanliness of tables and event areas throughout the duration of the event
- Assist with breaking down event areas post-event, ensuring everything is properly cleared and stored
- Organize and store event supplies (e.g., linens, tables, chairs, buffet equipment, etc.) with care after use
- Treat all event equipment with respect during setup, execution, and breakdown of events
- Ensure all event set-ups and service areas are impeccably organized, paying close attention to every detail, from the arrangement of seating to the presentation of food and beverages
- Spot any potential issues during service and proactively address them to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction
- Participate in inventory counts to ensure supplies are available and in good condition
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols, ensuring a safe and clean environment for staff and guests
- Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the Event Operations Manager for timely resolution
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Good organizational skills, and ability to multitask and prioritize assignments to meet critical deadlines
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days and weekends
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
- Ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds
