Job Title: Breakfast Chef
Department: Culinary
Reports to: Chefs de Cuisine/Sous Chefs
Job Summary:
Responsible for breakfast menu food prep, equipment setup, execution, and break down of assigned restaurant line station.
Responsibilities:
- Set up kitchen for breakfast service
- Follow daily prep lists and instruction provided by the supervisor and be ready for service by the times specified
- Assist with lunch prep & service when needed at busy times
- Attend Daily Pre Shift Meetings
- Maintain clean, sanitary, and safe work station and equipment
- Adhere to state, local, and Club health and safety regulations
- Maintain neat, professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules at all times
- Requisition necessary product for following day and submit to Sous Chef
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen is required
- Must be able to work independently and successfully execute the setup and execution of breakfast service with minimal oversight
- Must be reliable and dependable
- Must have a solid foundation of sound breakfast and lunch cookery skills, including all styles of egg cookery, emulsified sauce making (i.e. hollandaise), griddle cookery, poaching, grilling, etc.
- Must be able and willing to communicate positively and effectively with both front of house and back of house team member
