Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for the daily upkeep, cleanliness, setup, and break down of the employee break room.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain cleanliness and food levels in the employee break room
- Keep all food and beverage items full and ensure their freshness during both AM and PM meal periods
- Keep dining tables and countertops clean and properly set at all times through both AM and PM meal periods
- Run soiled china in bus tubs to the main kitchen dish area when full and restock all plateware and flatware in the break room when needed
- Ensure that all salad bar items are full and fresh through both AM and PM meal periods
- Brew coffee and ensure that it is hot and fresh through both AM and PM meal periods
- Maintain cleanliness and stock of beverage fountains
- Keep paper take out products in the break room stocked at all times
- Empty trash cans in the break room when full and replace with clean liners
- Fill and maintain cleanliness of salt and pepper shakers and condiment dispensers
- Assist with salad bar prep if needed
- Organize and properly rotate food using FIFO method
- Communicate product needs with the Banquet Sous Chef to ensure all needed items are ordered and available when needed
- Break down all food stations in the break room at the end of both the Am and PM meal periods making sure to properly wrap, label, and date them and store them in accordance with Health Department regulations.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Must have a positive, people-oriented personality
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to stand for periods of up to 6 hours
