Description
Responsible for providing high-quality swim instruction to members and guests of all ages during Spring and Summer seasons. Swim Instructors demonstrate and communicate skilled knowledge in swimming while creating a safe, encouraging, and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct swim lessons for various age groups and skill levels
- Assess students' abilities and adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Implement age-appropriate games and activities to enhance learning
- Track and document student progress
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and achievements
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about student progress
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all lessons
- Maintain cleanliness of teaching areas
- Attend regular staff meetings and training sessions
- Participate in program development and improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum age of sixteen (16) years
- Commit to minimum of ten (10) hours per week
- One (1) year swim instructor experience strongly preferred
- Professional communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work with children from six (6) months to adults
- Demonstrated swimming proficiency
- Patient and empathetic teaching style
Required Certifications (Don't worry - we can help you get these!):
- Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or equivalent
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- First Aid Certification
- AED Training
