Qualifications
Special Education teachers provide effective specialized instruction to ensure that students identified with learning disabilities acquire grade level core content knowledge and skills as well as the competencies and dispositions articulated in the FPS Vision of the Global Citizen. These uniquely qualified teachers attend to the development of the whole child and adjust instruction to meet psychological, social and intellectual needs. They develop Individualized Educational Plans, design strategic instructional strategies, monitor progress with assessment data, and coordinate all services for their students. Working as vital members of a learning organization, special education teachers act as case managers for all students assigned to them. They develop positive relationships with colleagues, parents, and students, working in partnership to ensure that all children achieve academic and personal growth. Teachers demonstrate all aspects of CT's Code of Professional Responsibility.
Salary: $55,018 - $111,829 (depending upon education and experience)

Qualifications
