BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree required in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Certified with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board
- Must maintain credentialing in compliance with the BACB
- Must possess excellent communication skills both written and oral and exhibit superior organizational skills
- Must complete Continuing Education courses as outlined by the BACB
- Successfully manage paraeducators/behavior technicians (P/BT)
- Experience within a public school setting strongly preferred
REPORTS TO: Director of Student Services
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
- Administer assessments
- Implement data collection, review, and modify treatment according to data
- Create and modify behavior plans as needed
- Contribute to the creation and modification Individualized Education Plan for each child as needed
- Document progress on goals and report to parents at end of marking term
- Instruct, motivate, and assist student to learn and improve functional activities
- Observe students during class, compile and evaluate data on student responses to behavior interventions and progress demonstrated
- Complete billing sheet accordingly to insurance codes authorized and submit in designated time frame
- Maintain ongoing communication with parent regarding child’s progress and plan
- Create and lead in-service trainings, related to ABA therapy for staff and the community upon request
- Participate on the interdisciplinary team, for the development of the service plan
- Maintain accurate records and immediate submission of Incident Reporting to administration
- Maintain accurate records including but not limited to assessments, current daily notes, and services provided for statistical and billing purposes
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
- Train, observe and advise P/BT on ABA and child’s program
- Directly observe interventions provided by P/BT
- Review P/BT’s documentation and data collection and provide feedback as needed
- Complete consultation notes at each consultation with P/BT and update teachers and place in files
- Provide scheduled consultations face to face with student and P/BT, review data, update program and model techniques for P/BT and teacher.
- Lead P/BT staff meetings/trainings
SPECIFIED LENGTH/HOURS OF POSITION:
This is a non-affiliated, 215 day salaried position.
EVALUATION:
Evaluation of this position shall be conducted by the Director of Student Services as assisted by the building principals.
