We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and driven Administrative Assistant to join our team at our busy retail store. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of daily business functions by providing thorough clerical and administrative support. Duties
- Perform general retail office duties, including filing, answering phones, and data entry, while maintaining an organized workspace.
- Handle end-of-day paperwork, ensuring accuracy in retail transactions and sales records.
- Maintain structured and organized records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Assist in purchasing materials and maintaining vendor relationships to support store inventory and operations.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely deliveries, negotiate competitive pricing, and track supply needs.
- Update product pricing based on vendor increases while ensuring profitability.
- Support inventory management by tracking stock levels, placing orders, and organizing materials efficiently.
- Create and schedule social media posts to promote products, engage customers, and drive sales.
- Perform light bookkeeping and assist with financial documentation as needed.
- Support other administrative staff and retail operations to enhance overall store productivity and efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong clerical and administrative abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Data entry proficiency, capable of managing large volumes of information efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, with a strong focus on Excel and Word.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) software is helpful.
- Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines efficiently.
- Previous experience in a retail administrative role is a plus.
- Strong computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
