AM (7am-3pm), PM (3pm-11pm), NOC (11pm-7am)

Job Description
- Administers scheduled and PRN medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application.
- Review and follow care plan for each resident.
- Takes vital signs or observes resident to detect response to specified types of medications and notifies Clinical Nursing Supervisor (CNS) of unexpected reactions.
- Reports to CNS and documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
- Counts narcotics at the beginning and end of shift and records on appropriate forms. Notifies CNS immediately of any discrepancies.
- Responds to call lights in a timely manner.
- Trained Medication Aide or other medication certifications is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with medication administration will be extremely helpful.
- Organized individual with attention to detail.
- Careful, methodical, and efficient.
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.
- Team player who has a passion for elder care and adapts quickly to changing situations.
