About You
The Role
As Faro Health's HR Manager you will be responsible for the development and execution of the human resource strategies that fuel the short-term and long-term organizational priorities. This is a part-time position with the expectation of 25 hours per week.
Your Focus
You will be responsible for overseeing hiring, employee learning and development, employee performance assessment, compensation planning, HR operations, and compliance with state and federal labor laws. As the HR Manager, you will report directly to the Controller. Additionally you will interact with the CEO regarding compensation and HR matters as needed.

About You

Your Responsibilities
Oversee Hiring of New Employees
- Working with team members to create specifications for new hires
- Coordinate with in-house and third-party recruiters regarding the hiring process
- Assist negotiations with candidates for new positions
- Oversee training of existing employees on best practices for interviewing candidates
- Assist in designing the compensation structure and programs aligned to attract and retain the talent needed to build the business (i.e., compensation, equity plan, sales compensation)
- Assist in evaluating and implementing comprehensive and competitive benefits programs (medical, wellness, disability, 401k, etc.)
- Evaluate and implement employee recognition and reward programs including peer-to-peer recognition
- Help design and implement a performance management system where employees feel valued, receive timely feedback, and ensure accountability to results
- Coordinate annual compensation planning
- Manage the HRIS platform to ensure accurate and useful employee data
- Leverage HR metrics to monitor HR program impact and make adjustments based on trends
- Ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws
- Optimize the HR budget based on organizational priorities
- Help define a clear organizational structure and position levels that help employees know their roles and the opportunities for upward mobility in the company
- Collaborate with employees on personal development plans to grow their careers
- Help design, create, and deliver leadership development programs that ensure leaders have the necessary skills to excel (current and future)
- Partner with team leaders to establish highly effective teams
- Shepherd the cultural attributes that drive the desired culture
- Support senior management's communication strategy and reinforce key messaging through the organization
- Ensure an exceptional employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle that leads to high levels of employee engagement
- Manage employee relations, conflicts, and investigations consistent with company core values
- Oversee diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
Qualifications
- 5 years of management or consulting experience in HR and talent development, within a growing software/technology business
- Proven ability to handle challenging HR matters in a productive and professional manner
- Excellent team player with demonstrated track record of success in a cross-functional team environment.
- Consistent commitment to delivering on company goals with a sense of shared urgency
- Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Suite required. Experience with Slack, Carta and payroll systems preferred
- Location: San Diego, with the expectation of being in the office as needed (2-3 days per week)
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- Good emotional intelligence and engaging interpersonal interaction style
- Strong attention to details and ability to triage and aid in resolution of escalations
- Team player with ability to work independently; ability to adjust to changing priorities
- Goal-oriented, with strong problem solving skills
- Ability to project and maintain a professional and positive attitude
Compensation
- Hourly range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
- Individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training
Salary : $60 - $80
