TYPICAL DAY
Legal Documentation & Research
- Draft and review contracts, pleadings and other legal documents.
- Compile, proofread and revise drafts of legal documents, reports and corporate filings.
- Assist with legal research.
Case & Document Management
- Prepare and organize trial materials, including copying and assembling necessary documents.
- Coordinate and assist in the maintenance of legal department records, databases and document management systems.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of regulatory and compliance documents, such as annual reports and other required filings.
- Coordinate and assist in the management of legal matters, including document retrieval and organization, and tracking of matter deadlines.
Client & Team Support
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner and with professionalism.
- Partner with the Business team to ensure comprehensive services are provided.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Serve as a liaison between the legal department and other departments within the company, as well as external stakeholders, such as outside counsel, vendors and regulatory agencies.
JOB EXPECTATIONS
- In-office work only; no remote work
- Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (lunch from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
- Limited overtime required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience – preferably in litigation and / or business.
- Associate's degree or equivalent qualification. Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or related field is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and proofreading.
- Continuous focus, diligence and dedication to constant improvement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams) and familiarity with legal document management systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle confidential and sensitive information.
