Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Foundry maintenance department at the Farrar Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will utilize your expertise in electrical and electronic systems to maintain our existing equipment and troubleshoot issues.

About the Role:
  • Perform preventative and reactionary maintenance on foundry equipment
  • Diagnose and solve complex problems encountered during troubleshooting
  • Empowered to make decisions and requirements within maintenance
  • Operation of forklifts and other mobile equipment
  • Facility maintenance
  • Solving electrical/electronic/PLC issues with relays, sensors, interfaces, and panels
  • Working with AC & DC motors, high voltage circuits
  • Trouble shooting industrial automation and interfaces
  • Working with 3 Phase 480/277, 208/120 and other electrical distributions

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Manufacturing background/environment preferred but not required
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings
  • Ability to climb ladders and/or stairways
  • Basic understanding of safety in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong skills in one or more of: electronics, electrical, electro-mechanical, PLC's
