We are seeking a detail-oriented and decisive Program Subcontractor Manager to oversee subcontractor relationships, track project schedules, and ensure quality control for large-scale jobs. The ideal candidate has general construction knowledge, experience in job site management, and the ability to travel to job sites and new territories to establish subcontractor partnerships.
About the Role
As a Program Subcontractor Manager, you will be responsible for managing contractor relationships, tracking job progress, ensuring compliance, and maintaining project quality. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to make on-the-spot decisions while overseeing subcontracted work.
This position is ideal for a construction or regional manager with experience in production building or managing subcontractors for home improvement projects. Key Responsibilities
- Manage & Track Subcontractors: Oversee scheduling, performance, and compliance of subcontractors in various territories.
- Job Site Oversight: Visit large-scale projects, ensuring work is completed to program standards and quality requirements.
- Establish & Maintain Subcontractor Relationships: Travel to new territories to build connections with electricians, plumbers, and subcontractors, negotiate pricing, and secure service agreements.
- Scheduling & CRM Management: Track project timelines, subcontractor progress, and CRM system updates to ensure smooth workflow.
- Compliance & Documentation: Collect and submit insurance information, payment terms, and conditions to internal teams.
- Decision-Making on Site: Assess job needs, identify necessary program work, and make decisive calls to keep projects on track.
- Quality Control: Inspect large-scale jobs for proper completion and compliance with program guidelines.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with project managers, insurance teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- Job site management or construction project management experience required.
- Background in production building, regional construction management, or subcontractor coordination preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to track schedules, contractor progress, and CRM data.
- Ability to manage subcontractors, build relationships, and negotiate contracts.
- Decisiveness on job sites to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams.
- Mindset & Work Ethic:
- Flexible and willing to travel to job sites and new territories as needed.
- Problem-solving approach with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work independently while ensuring smooth subcontractor operations.
- Valid and Active Driver's License
- Must pass a background and drug screen test
- Ability to travel and stay overnight when required for project requirements
