Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Taking orders, ringing them in accurately and efficiently, and delivering correct items.
- Provide detailed menu information by maintaining complete knowledge of the restaurant's food and beverage preparation.
- Interact with guests to ensure their complete satisfaction by exceeding their expectations.
- Accept various payment types, make change, and provide receipts.
- Check identification for guests consuming alcoholic beverages and refuse service to those under legal age.
- Monitor behavior of guests who have consumed alcohol.
- Clear and reset tables.
- Maintain side-work and ensure the cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform, maintain good grooming and hygiene.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- State alcohol server license and food handler's card required.
- Basic mathematical skills: ability to make change.
- Basic reading, writing, and computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Multi-task oriented.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
- Able to suggestively sell food and beverage items.
- Reasonable availability, considering nights and weekends are busiest.
