Core Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Oversee the storage, tracking, and distribution of rental equipment, ensuring accuracy and timely availability.
Staff Supervision:
Lead and train warehouse personnel, managing schedules, performance, and addressing any issues.
Operational Efficiency:
Optimize warehouse layout and processes to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure smooth workflows.
Safety and Compliance:
Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Logistics and Shipping:
Manage the inbound and outbound flow of rental equipment, including assisting scheduling deliveries, pickups, and ensuring timely return of equipment. Notifying clients of delivery and pick up days/times. Following up with clients on lost or damaged equipment. At times, delivering or picking up equipment.
Data Management:
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, equipment locations, and shipping information.
Customer Service:
Collaborate with operations manager and rental team to address customer needs, ensuring equipment is available and in good working order.
Problem Solving:
Address and resolve issues with warehouse operations, inventory, or equipment as they arise.
Specific Tasks within a Rental Environment:
Inventory Management of Equipment:
Managing and controlling specialized equipment used in rentals (e.g., tools, machines, carts, drills, drill bits, plugs) and maintaining accurate records.
Quality Control:
Ensure equipment is in good working condition, properly maintained, and ready for rental use. Thoroughly cleaning and repairing equipment.
Rental Order Fulfillment:
Oversee the processing, packing, and shipping of rental orders, and the return of rental equipment.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong organizational and leadership skills: To effectively manage staff and warehouse operations.
Inventory management experience: Experience in managing stock levels, using inventory software, and ensuring accuracy.
Warehouse operations experience: Knowledge of warehouse logistics, shipping procedures, and safety protocols.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities: To address issues efficiently and maintain smooth operations.
Attention to detail: To ensure accuracy in record keeping, inventory levels, and equipment tracking.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team: To manage warehouse operations and collaborate with other departments.
Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card certificate and safely operate automatic and standard driven trucks weighing up to 26,000 lbs. MUST be able to operate standard trucks with manual transmission.
Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, floor machines, basic hand tools and perform property maintenance including snow plowing, grass mowing, basic repairs and more.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
