Inventory Manager/Lot Porter Job Responsibilities:
- Keeps the vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the sales managers / GM and in accordance with dealership display standards.
- Works with and directs porter team to ensure appropriate coverage and efficiency of completing tasks
- Ensure vehicles are in sound working condition.
- Ensure all vehicles non-showroom cars are locked. Walk lots to ensure vehicles are locked and secured.
- Ensure customer parking is plentiful and the delivery lane is clear.
- Identifies vehicles on the lot needing cleaning, coordinates with our detail team to clean interior and exterior of used/new vehicles, including the trunk, glove compartment, tires, windows, etc. as needed.
- Picks up and delivers vehicles to customers as directed by management.
- Assist in the UVI (used vehicle inspection) process. This will be trained.
- Identifies and reports light maintenance on vehicles as needed, i.e., the tire needs to be changed, battery dead, etc.
- Ensures that required forms/stickers (FTC, etc) have been completed and are properly displayed, including all dealer branding.
- Daily sweep and picking up trash on sales lots.
- Carmax Appraisals for wholesale and other wholesale duties as requested by management.
- Ensure all new and used vehicles get pictures within 5 days of being in the Dealer's possession.
- Inventory Report due by 3rd business day of each month.
- Entering key fobs into key machines, un-assigning key fobs when the vehicle is sold. Securing of keys and dealer tags. Runs key machine report daily for sales manager.
- Maintaining track of inventory on a day-to-day basis.
- Keeping inventory organized and replenished on main lots.
- Notify Sales Manager of logistical issues.
- All other duties requested of Sales Managers or General Manager.
Requirements:
- Strong Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Drive Manual transmission preferred
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
