Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various types of heavy machinery, including loaders, backhoes, and excavators. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of equipment on-site, contributing to the overall success of our demolition projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, and excavators in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Dig and excavate as required for various projects using Caterpillar and other equipment.
- Communicate with laborers, truck drivers, and other employees to help keep the site running safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment is stored properly after use.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks on the job site.
Experience
- At least 5 years of proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with loaders, excavators and dozers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment as needed.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to heavy machinery operation.
- Applicants should have experience working on commercial and industrial demolition sites
- Experience working with regulated materials such as asbestos and silica and have previous training/licensing in these areas.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to heavy equipment operation are a plus.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
