Job Description: As a Meat Plant Hygiene Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene standards of our meat processing facility. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with sanitation protocols.
  • Develop and implement sanitation procedures, including cleaning schedules, sanitation protocols, and hygiene practices.
  • Train employees on proper sanitation techniques and procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of sanitation supplies and equipment, ensuring they are properly stocked and in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address sanitation-related issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Perform routine sanitation tasks, such as cleaning equipment, floors, walls, and processing areas, according to established protocols.
  • Document and maintain records of sanitation activities, including inspections, cleaning schedules, and corrective actions taken.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in food safety or sanitation is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment, with a focus on sanitation and hygiene practices.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards, such as HACCP, GMP, and SSOP.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to address sanitation issues proactively.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
